For this logo and rebrand I intended on encapsulating the ideology behind the National Urban League in a single logo mark. These ideological concepts being, equality, progress, and enabling new opportunity for the underprivileged.
To represent these concepts I depicted “equality” through two panes parallel to each other, with a door in the middle–marking an entrance to equality, or a march towards progress. The logo mark has a forward motion, giving it energy. For the colors I wanted to invoke the feeling of the energetic urban sprawl, using a vibrant orange that has a corporate tinge. For the typeface I chose a free sans-serif, to represent the economic opportunity the company stands for.
